Vim was waaay out in front - how'd the meeting go?
Hi,
I have setup a simple 5-second poll to find out what editor(s) or IDE(s)
people use for Perl development. I'd appreciate very much if you clicked
on the link and answered the question. You can mark up to 3 answers.
Please also forward this mail in the company you are working and to people
in your previous company so we can get a large and diverse set of responses.
The poll will be closed within a week. Please act now!

thanks

Sorry, i should have forwarded that Poll on myself. I guess I'm a bad
monger manager. =(
The meeting was awesome, at least I thought. We had 3 or 4 new peeps
in the crowd. The presentation was quite informative. We had a couple
of new possible topics come up for presentations that could be very
interesting: Using Selenium and the WRE without Root. The only things
that were missing were your bright and shiny face, and Chris' super
duper Perl 6 update.

I have an update on Sphinx: at 7:14 PM, as I was giving my little
Sphinx talk, Jon Schutz the author of the Perl modules had sent me his
updated code (which I had requested only a few hours before that)
which handles string attributes in the Perl API. He hasn't uploaded
it to CPAN yet (I was QA testing for him), but it works perfectly and
I'd be happy to forward the tiny tarball to anyone who wants it.

I am on a virtual world tour to visit Perl Monger groups and
blog about them.
This time I visited Chicago.pm

"... The first impression on the web site of Chicago Perl Mongers is
mixed. They have a web site with content but their next meeting is
going to be on March 31. As the year is not mentioned I guess it is
2009, 7 month ago rather than 2010 5 month ahead."

We have our meeting for next month listed, but we rarely post months
ahead, and sometimes we post behind schedule. But we're definitely
more on top of it than Chicago.pm.
