Next month, on September 21 at 7pm at Essen Haus I will be giving a talk on the most epic project I've undertaken. I think that's saying quite a bit since MadMongers itself is one of my projects, and I'm largely responsible for the existence of WebGUI (webgui.org), CMS Matrix (cmsmatrix.org), and The Game Crafter (thegamecrafter.com). It is a brand new never before seen system written from the ground up using all the latest modern Perl techniques and technologies. It is the end result of every talk I've given for the past year.
I'm quite proud of this project. And I think it will be a nice notch in the belt of the Perl community at large as well. Something people can point to that is big, written in Perl, and modern (not 10+ years ago).
If you were going to come to just one talk for MadMongers this year this would be a great one to hit, especially since you already missed Graham's super cool talk from last month. Please save the date. See you there.
PS. How's that for hype Martin?

Nice, but I think you should do it in movie trailer format...
In a world... [flash to scene in movie]... drowning in code...
One man's mission...
Leads him to the edges of the Earth and back.
From the director of WebGUI...
And the producer of CMS Matrix...
Plainblack Entertainment presents the movie/code event of the summer.
[words fly at screen, punctuated by action shots from movie]
YOU
CAN'T
MISS
THIS
He came...
He saw..
He debugged...
Super Secret Project
9.21.2010
...and coming in October 2010...
Super Secret Project 2: Super Secreter
Now, get that up on youtube, and I think you're all good and hyped.
