I just released a new version of SimpleDB::Class (one of the module's I'll be talking about at next week's meeting).
The main new features since the last time I posted out it is that all interactions with SimpleDB are asynchronous (non-blocking), which means you can now safely use the module inside of POE or Coro, and recently used data is persisted to the memcached server, which gets you around the eventual consistency problem, and speeds the whole thing up dramatically.
