It just occurred to me that this group has never done a talk on general software testing. Would anyone be interested in that topic? I'm thinking subtopics like Test::More, Test::Class, Test::WWWW::Mechanize, integration with Build.PL and Makefile.PL, cpantesters, code coverage via Devel::Cover, etc.
I'm a huge fan of Test::Class and Devel::Cover myself.

I've put down your testing talk on the calendar. I think it's a great idea. We've just started using Test::Class in WebGUI, so I'd love to hear more about it.

month. I would love to hear more about all the Testing modules and
which ones are preferred.

Agreed. My current thought is that I'm going to do the first half on
testing in general and the second half on Test::More and Test::Class
specifically. So, perhaps the first half will be light on Perl and
the second half will be heavy. Just a thought...
If anyone wants to splice a 5-15 minute mini-talk into mine (either
infix or suffix), that would be fine with me.

Testing sounds great, I've never understood quite how all the details work, though I've been listening in on the Perl6 process and 'made smoke' for parrot on a few different platforms.

2/21 may well be the date, though there's a chance I'll not be able to make it now. I had a little knee event over the weekend and tore a piece of my meniscus. I'm having surgery (should be quick) on Tuesday, so I may be walking by then (I hope so) but we'll have to see.
