I just submitted my PAR + PDF + FUSE talk to YAPC::NA 2008 today. Is anyone else planning to attend or speak? (Of course the Plain Black crew is going -- they're sponsors!)
I can't make it to Frozen Perl this weekend, unfortunately, so I'm really looking forward to YAPC.

I'm hoping to go to YAPC again this year. Chi. is close and it's so dang cheap. I was amazed at the quality of the 06 conf ... worse, I signed up for 3 days of Dr. Conway and had to leave a day early.
I'm hoping I can figure out how it works and be part of the parrot hackathon-ing ... hm, that might be a presentation I could do 'Newbie's guide to Parrot cage cleaning'

Sounds like a good one. Submit it... there are a group of us
accepting the talks, so I can't guarantee that it will get in, but
Parrot-related stuff is going to be big this year.

No no no no nooo ... I was talking about the Mad mongers thing (3-6 people, beer) which my agoraphobia (yikes, even the thought of YAPC-ing has sent my pulse-rate up 20 beats) might just allow. I'd rather jump in a frozen lake, er, rather vote repub ... okay, somewhere between the two, but no, not in Chicago.
Besides, cage cleaning HowTos would be more the "other" Andy's bailiwick, I'm still outside looking in.
